Testimonials:

I began bass fishing at the age of 6 with my Great Uncle. By the time I was 11 years of age I had fished more lakes than many adults ever get to fish in their lifetimes. Okeechobee, Kerr, and Santee-Cooper were regular spring and summer fishing trips on our agenda. As the years went by I desired to learn more about the different techniques of Bass Fishing and sought out a teacher. After going through several guides and having mediocre experiences, I decided to give Phil Cable a call. I had heard of Phil through his tournament fishing success during the 1980’s and 1990’s. That first trip was the start of what has turned into not only very many enjoyable fishing outings, but a great friendship. I consider Phil Cable to be the very best fisherman which I have had the opportunity of fishing with. Phil has the ability to use his knowledge and experience to provide the opportunity for any angler, regardless of their experience, to catch quality fish and have a great experience time after time.

Being in the Investment and Insurance Industry since 1992 I definitely know my business. Research and information are very important tools of my trade. When I am in front of a client I must be prepared for practically any situation which may arise. In the same way Phil Cable views his Guide Business as I do my own business practice. I can’t tell you of how many times I have called Phil and he has been on the water preparing for the next day’s customer. He takes guiding very seriously and works hard to give the client every opportunity to catch a trophy bass.

Phil and I have been fishing together since 2000. We average between 6-7 trips per year. Only once have we been skunked. Our best day was a 40+ bass catch with the average fish weighing 6lbs. I still travel the world seeking out different fishing adventures from Sail Fishing in Costa Rica to Marlin Fishing off the coast of Kona, but I always come back to Phil. I consider Phil to be not just a Professional Guide, but my personal fishing coach as well as a great friend. I have included some pictures of some of the bass caught from Phil’s boat over the past few years.

" I have fished all over the world - from the Amazon to Canada to Mexico and throughout the United States. I have never had a better guide than Phil
Cable. In addition to learning a great deal from Phil, I am always confident I'm fishing where the fish are - the rest is up to me.
We've had some incredible days on the water together."

Five minutes with Phil on his boat and you feel like you have been fishing together for years.

When I was looking for the best fishing guide in the area, I checked with several country stores around Jordan Lake. All gave Phil Cable their highest recommendation.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, you will enjoy fishing with Phil. He is happy to answer questions; generous with his vast knowledge of fishing; versatile with his methods; and has excellent equipment and tackle. Phil knows how and where to find fish. In fact, I have caught fish every time I have been out with him!

Aside from an expert fishing guide, Phil is a very warm and humorous person. In the morning, you begin with him as your guide and in the afternoon, you part as friends.
